Gregory A. Gritters
CFO/Partner
Greg started with the company as COO in 2002 and became Managing Partner in 2005. Greg is a Certified Water Manager by the California Landscape Contractors Association and leads the company’s initiatives in water management and conservation. Prior to joining Vintage, he worked 25 years for an energy company in domestic and international commercial development, operations and project management. Greg has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California and is a graduate from the internationally acclaimed Thunderbird School of Management with an MBA in international business. Greg and his wife Cathy have 4 grown children and when they are not doing something with their nine grandchildren, they will be riding their tandem bicycle or enjoying the beach.
Kyle Gritters
CEO/Partner
Kyle joined Vintage Associates in 2015 to join this multi-generational business with his father Greg. Kyle spent the first three years working in all aspects of the landscape business including climbing thirty-foot palm trees, pushing a mower nineteen miles a day and installing over 8,000 flats of annual color. Kyle has attended numerous horticultural classes at COD and holds a Qualified Applicators License and works in tandem with his father Greg and Al Hollinger to create a strong company culture of trust and integrity. Kyle’s passion for cycling and interest in woodworking keep him busy outside work as well. His wife and four kids love living in the Coachella Valley enjoying the sunshine and outdoor activities. Kyle received his BA in Applied Design from San Diego State University while pursuing a short career as a professional cyclist.
David Smith
President/Partner
David joined Vintage Associates in 2018 overseeing individual maintenance accounts at the Madison Club. David later transitioned to Vintage Outdoors and became a partner in 2019. Currently David oversees the day to day operations of Vintage Nursery, Vintage Outdoors as well as contributing to business development and account management. David has over 25 years of landscape construction experience as the Operations manager of family owned W. D. Young and Sons. David is an expert in palm horticulture studying under Dr. Henry Donselman. David holds a BS in Business Management, is an ISA certified arborist and is tree risk assessment qualified. David enjoys spending time with his wife and kids playing sports and competing in golf tournaments. David also enjoys being out on the ocean on catamaran sail boats and is ASA certified.
Heather Gritters Kambe
Vice President/Secretary/Partner
Heather became a part of Vintage Associates in 2006 to join her father Greg. Heather brought her experience working in customer service. She started in the Nursery learning about the plants and trees of our Valley. She moved through the office becoming a part of the accounting department on both the payable and receivable side. Heather is currently leading our Human Resource team bringing with her a love of people and a degree in Speech Communication. When Heather is not at the office she can be found on the Pickleball courts with her husband of 16 years or enjoying our beautiful Desert with their kids.

Our History
Vintage Associates is a full service landscape resource company determined to help their customers achieve the goal of loving their landscape. Vintage Landscape provides professional landscape services so the landscape looks like the landscape architect designed it. We utilize the most advanced and efficient techniques and equipment specifically suited for the Coachella Valley. Vintage Outdoors offers design and construction services for our customers to enhance or completely renovate an existing landscape to achieve their goals for optimizing aesthetics, water conservation and maintenance requirements. Vintage Nursery sources locally grown and acclimated shrubs, trees, ground covers and ornamental specimens to our customers in addition to having the area’s largest selection of landscape pottery and fountains.
Vintage Associates is a locally owned business that was founded in 1992 by Steven Burt and his partners*. The company grew significantly over the next 10 years and Steve hired Greg Gritters in 2002 to help him take the company to the next level. Steve also had a vision of establishing a Calvary Chapel affiliated church at the nursery. Steve eventually went into full time church ministry and Greg bought his interest in the company, with the help of the partners. In 2005, Greg became Managing Partner and CEO. Greg brought with him 25 years of project management experience in the international energy business and an MBA.
